David and Sara were married Saturday at Lincoln Heights Christian Church in Phoenix. It was such a joy to work with these two--they are genuine souls that are truly crazy about each other. It was also a fun day in that I got to work with Emily Edwards of You're Heart's Desire Weddings who is one of my favorite planners. Thanks to her care the day was smooth and flawless.
Sara is a graphic designer who is starting her own invitation design business called Red Seal Invitations. She did an AMAZING job on her own invitations and programs. She put so much work into the details right down to stitching the binding on the programs on her sewing machine! They truly are works of art. And it was fun to see one of their engagement photos cleverly integrated into the program as well!

The day started out at Mureeza Day Spa where the girls got their hair done. I caught this shot of Sara's ring while she was texting on her phone:
Next we headed to the church. Sara's dress was beautiful:
The flowers were done by The Garage By Ivy and they absolutely blew me away! Here are the bridesmaid's bouquets and wait until you see even more photos of the flowers later in this post!
I love this shot of David's brother and groomsman helping his dad with his vest:
Sara getting into her dress with the help of her bridesmaids:
She was glowing and bursting with emotion all day:
Sara prayed with her bridesmaids before going out to see David for the first look:
We did all the pre-ceremony portraits in the church since it was so hot outside. But the church had beautiful light that was great to work in. Here's a few of my favorite shots from David and Sara's first look:
Love this portrait of the happy couple:
Gorgeous Sara:
David sent this card over to Sara right before the ceremony began:
The cute flower girls:
Sara's dad walked her down the aisle:
Both sets of parents stood up to give their blessing to the marriage and David and Sara had some special moments with them at the beginning of the ceremony:
The church was beautiful and I adored the two trees full of bouquets at the altar:
During the ceremony David and Sara took some time to pray together. I just love this:
Husband and wife!!
Note to photographers: I used my 50mm 1.2 lens for the processional and recessional photos for the first time and it worked great! I was brave and set the aperture to 1.2 then just held down the back button for continual focus with the camera on Al Servo mode and I love how they came out!

Sara's maid of honor admiring her ring after the ceremony:
Next we headed over to the JW Marriott Desert Ridge for the reception. I was able to grab David and Sara for a few minutes to take advantage of the beautiful grounds and early evening light for a couple more portraits.
See what I mean? Crazy about each other:
Even more of the florist's handy work--each table at the reception donned one of these three masterpieces:
The first dance:
And one last favorite shot from the reception from David's dance with his mother:
