Highlight of the week: Shooting a wedding in Africa. Yep, can't beat that for a highlight!
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Ate native Angolan lobster with this view of the Atlantic.
2 -- Travelled 43 hours to get home from Africa -- 3 delayed flights, 2 re-routings, 2 missed connections, one temporarily lost bag and an unexpected overnight stay in LA. All with a stomach bug. Yikes!
In addition to the wedding, my sister (who came along to assist) and I were able to spend a day in Madrid and go on a safari in Angola. I'll have more photos to share with you soon from these fun adventures!
Celebrating: I serve a big God. I've always known that God loves each individual person in the world as much as he loves me, but getting another glimpse of how vast the world is blows. my. mind. Crazy-amazing.
This week I was thankful for: extra plane seats on a few of the legs, ear plugs, my sweet Spanish-speaking sister who was a huge support to me, Skip-bo, wireless internet in our hotel, a bed to sleep in after 55 hours, running water, our Portuguese-speaking driver Markes, losing weight, Skype, and kind neighbors who watched Dixie in a pinch.
Feeling Blessed: In the past three weeks I have traveled to Flagstaff, San Diego, Madrid and Angola. SO many great experiences but one of the best things about traveling is coming home.
