He was known only as "Pool Boy."
It was the summer of 2008 when Kim first saw Zach, hanging out by the pool at the condo in a black hat. He was so cute, so intriguing, but it wasn't until the next summer that they actually met and after they did, it didn't take long for Zach to go from "Pool Boy" to "Man I Could Marry."
It was during a stay-cation at Talking Stick Resort that the proposal finally happened and if Kim were to be totally honest, she would have to admit that she saw it coming. As she was standing in the hotel bathroom - hair all frizzy, no make-up, getting ready for a night out - Zach came to the door and informed her that there were some things he wasn't happy with in their relationship. Kim began to (calmly) freak out - here she thought she was getting engaged and instead she was getting the break-up speech?! Before things completely unraveled, Zach disappeared into the other room and reappeared on one knee. It was just enough surprise to throw Kim off - Zach actually had to ask "So... what do you say?"
You already know the answer was yes.
The two embraced, cried, and started the journey from "Man I Could Marry" to "Husband and Wife."
Saturday was the day it became official. In front of their closest family and friends, Zach and Kim tied the knot on the beach at the Hilton Mission Bay in San Diego. I first met Kim when she attended my workshop in January and I'm so honored that she and Zach asked me to document their day. It was amazing!

Kim made a gorgeous bride!
Thanks to Tanya Mills, my fabulous 2nd shooter for this image and her hard work throughout the day!
I loved the combination of Zach's navy suit, orange tie and his succulent boutonniere. Photos of Kim's grandma and sister who passed away were fixed to her bouquet -- a sweet personal touch:
Zach and Kim saw each other before the ceremony:
What a cute couple!
The bridal party was a good-looking crew:
I especially adored the bridesmaid's Anthropologie dresses:
It was the perfect San Diego day for an outdoor ceremony:
Kim's father walked her down the aisle:
Husband & wife!!
I love the ballroom where the reception was held and all of the gorgeous details -- many of which Kim put together herself:
The father/daughter dance was very sweet:
What a fun day!
