Jeff Cleveland - Forgive me if you've shared this before but I'm curious if you process all your images in Photoshop or do you use a program like Lightroom or Aperture first? If you do, do you export them and then go into Photoshop and use the Image Processor to run the action?
Thank you so much for sharing. I learn so much valuable information through your blog!
Jamie Y - Thank you so much for this post, it helps more then you know.
Truc - Melissa, thanks so much for this info! I just recently discovered your blog and absolutely love all your FAQs for photographers and Behind the Image posts. They're incredibly helpful! Thanks!
Laurie H. - I love your site and have been a follower for over a year now. You are always so generous about your knowledge as a photographer, how to run a business, etc., etc., etc. I truly believe that the more you give, the more you will get back. You are not only a genius when it comes to taking a good photograph, but you have a good heart too. You are awesome!! :)
cameron clark | c+k studios - maybe you already know this... but if you want to add your logo embossed (not sure if you can do it with color)... make the PSD of your logo a BRUSH in PhotoShop. Open the PDS, then select "define brush preset" from one of the top menus in Photoshop and you can use your paintbrush to brush your logo onto the photograph.
cameron clark | c+k studios - We started shooting in Adobe 1998 vs. sRGB -- Jamelle did a lot of research on this whole color space topic. Apparently more 40% colors are available with Adobe 1998 --? Ask your lab.
Kelly Green - Thanks for the info Melissa!
At the moment I use MCP's free Crystal Clear Web resize & sharpen action - it's great!
maureen cassidy - awesome post! i love when you post for photographers! you are awesome!
thanks
Niki - Melissa, you are a doll! Pure goodness, I tell ya! You've just answered a couple of things I forgot to ask you in April. Thank you again for all you do... You rock! xox
Holly - confirmed yet again... you're every kind of fabulous. :) thanks for sharing your hard-earned wisdom! you ROCK, mj!!!!!! :)))
Melissa Jill :) - Hey Tira - As far as I know, you can't batch save for web. And I add my logo after I resize the image to 880px wide. I don't have an action for that either, just have a .psd of my logo and drag and drop to a bottom corner of the image.
Tira J - I love the tweet you sent out for this blog post! "without your images looking like poo" ha ha! Thanks for the new tips. I do half of that right now. Can you batch the save for the web? And at what point to you add your logo? Happy Friday! Oh, and I am coming to Arizona in June, maybe we can connect. :)
