Kelly Cummings - I love it! You are too dedicated! I assist a photographer that has quite a few falls on her record. She hasn't picked up any cactus quills though, and I don't think she's caught on fire so I think you might win.
Tina - OUCH! I had to pull cactus needles out of a boot once with tweezers! The photog I was 2nd shooting for was bootless for awhile! Job hazards I guess :)
michelle sidles - Ha! Your so classy. ;)
Lynn Cobb - I promise you won't run into any cactuses in NC in September :) But I love that you air all your antics on your blog - that add laughter to my day!
Lizzie Kimball - I really need to save this page as my home page so every time I open the Internet I can laugh :) we had MORE than a good laugh! I'm glad you're okay but it was basically the funniest thing ever when you pulled out your arm & we saw the damage.
Tira J - Oh geeze!!!! Glad you are okay. Last week at a portrait session I was eaten alive by some classic CA bugs. Fast forward to Monday, my hand was swollen and I ended up on antibiotics. Hopefully you were able to laugh it off. :)
Allison Roen - Oh my goodness! Ouch! At least those 12 spines were well worth it to get that INCREDIBLE shot! =)
Sandra - I promise I didn't laugh while reading this..maybe I chuckled just a little once I knew you were okay. So gracious of you to share your wisdom with the masses. :)
Amanda Rae - Oh man! I ran into a cactus when I was a kid and it was one of the most painful things ever! I'm glad I didn't do it at a wedding though!!!
Sara Lin - OK, you stink. Even the picture of cactus in your arm looks cool and interesting.
Stephanie Ortega - Hilarious!!!! I love that you shared this... hope your left arm is good now!
Elena - Oh, OUCH, Melissa! You are a trooper to still have taken the shot :)
Taryn Bills - Jeff literally got stuck to one at Troon North last Fall and I had to come and detach him from it. It was during the ceremony and he was frantically waving at me to come help him. I had to remove about 30 cacti spines from his back as he profusely bled. Those things are violent!!
Mary - Ha, that's awesome! Glad I'm not the only one who does things like that...I ran into a cactus when I was little and remember it not being a pleasant experience.
Ron Warren - She didn't say she didn't scream! That's a bummer, Melissa. Hope the arm's feeling better.
Keri Doolittle Photography - OUCH!!!! No fun!!
Julie Delamarter - thats hilarious, melissa....att least from an outsiders perspective. But at least you got some amazing shots...your arm the sacrifice. :)
Jim Collins - Ouch! Sorry kiddo! I shoot goofy eyed (left eye dominant) so my whole face gets stuck behind the camera. I've stepped in fire pits, ponds, and one time I took a full on header over a planter because I was trying to track with someone who was moving... These are the dangers of photography!
Spring - you are a trooper for 1. not screaming and 2. taking the 2nd beautiful photo before removing the spines! Now thats a hard core photographer!!! :)
