martin zuckermann - I loved Nebraska and its serenity, loved to see open spaces while we drove through that state :)

Karen (Mikols) Bonar - Woah! I just looked at your 101 list .... and it's awfully complete! Mine ends today and I hit only about half of the items ... way to rock your list!
Lydia - These remind me of my grandma's farm in Pennsylvania. She passed away 10 years ago now, but I love going back there and remembering all the good times I had with her.
Nate at Open Light Studio - WOW, I think all of us need a retreat like this (or at least one with no internet access and a little bit of space to walk/trek without bumping into people all the time). Mine would be in the blue ridge mountains in West NC. Thanks for sharing the images and stories.
Darren - MJ, love these shots. the pancake looks delicious. Were they from scratch or a box? How were they cooked. Were they crispy in the middle also?
My favorite shot is of your Grandfather and Mitzy.
Kelly Gill - I love seeing this little window into your roots Melissa. Very sweet and grounded just like you!
Sindee - Wow! I live in Nebraska and I've never quite captured the sky as you have!
Thanks for reminding me why it is that I love this place!
Lawrence Kent - I haven't your grandparents pancakes but they look exactly like the ones my grandma makes - a little crispy on the edges. I don't even like pancakes but I can eat hers until I'm sick. Do nothing vacations are the BEST!!
Tina - Aren't vacations where you do NOTHING the best?? I love vacationing with grandparents - it's just total relaxation:) And I LOVE the images you took around the farm....looks like more for your fine art collection:)
jina - I love it when you take pictures of your travels. Made me miss my grandparents and their farm. Thanks for that!
Amanda - As much as your visit meant to you, I guarantee it meant 100x more to them. I loved this post. Thanks for sharing.
cristi - i think i need to go make some pancakes :)
R. J. Kern - The light on the last image is KILLER! Such great dynamic range. Running on those country roads in cool weather... doesn't get much better! Thank you for sharing a bit of the joy of your family with the world. Enjoy your new creative tool! And you totally reminded me to update my 101 goals in 1,001 days (it's been about 250 days since I've done so, but have updated many goals since then.) See you at PartnerCon!
miranda from charlotte - their kitchen table is just like the one from my granddad's house... as a kid, i always hated how cold it felt. now as i'm looking at it in this picture, i miss it - and him.
so glad you were able to visit with them and make more memories (and as always, thanks for sharing)! :)
Tanya Mills - So happy you got a chance to spend some time with your grandparents! And of course, check another goal off your 101 in 1001 list!
Tira J - It brings joy to my heart that you were able to spend some quality time with them. I miss my grandparents and father even more. And, Nebraska has a sweet spot in my heart because life just slows down the moment you land at the airport, and because I spent to much time there as a child. Hope to go back someday soon. And, I am so jealous of that 24 1.4. It's on my wish list. Welcome home! I am sure that Dixie is happy to see you.
julie - looks like a wonderful time! so glad you got to do it!
Heather Corporan - What a blessing to be able to take that time, and truly shut off from the rest of the world. Now that's what I call a TRUE vacation! I LOVE the shots of the skies! Lately against the changing trees here in NH the skies seem to be so vibrant. Thanks for sharing!
Julyssa Schenk - You are very blessed. Grandparents are so wonderful and YOU are so very lucky to still have them around. I would have given anything to have had a relationship with mine :) Great shots!
Sandra - Pancakes and hope..I love it!!!
Beautiful farm and family Melissa!
jess - i am so glad you were able to take the time to visit them. grandparents are awesome! miss you! =0)
