diane potter - I was taught that the shutter speed need to always be double the amount of the lens on camera to prevent blur., unless on tripod. Is this not the case or are you using a tripod?
Melissa Jill - Hi Diane! That would be a good rule of thumb when shooting in all natural light. When you are shooting in flash, the game is changed up a bit as described above. No tripod needed, as long as the flash is your main light, it effectively freezes the subject. Try it!
Shannon - I will normally drag my shutter to 1/30" in dark situations with my flash. I adjust my flash to compensate for the ambient light around. As long as I can overpower the available light, I can freeze the motion. Great explanation.
