Brooke Summer Photography - This makes me laugh... because I'm thinking cozy to Arizonians means about 50-60 degrees! It will be here soon enough. :)
Ali - lovely reasons I loved "cozy" and envy all your 192 circles :) lol
marisa - your granny square blanket looks amazing! i'm curious, how many different colors did you use?
Lois - Thanks for the link, Melissa! I checked out your Pinterest page too & it is amazing!
Karen (Mikols) Bonar - :) This post makes me grin & giggle. A LOT. Because about 3 weeks ago, I was feeling the exact same way. I wanted to tell all of those NE and in general North people what they could do with cool morning and changing leaves -- exactly where they could put them. We had an insanely hot summer here in KS this summer; one of the hottest on record ... but not as long as you guys. And not every year. So thank you for reminding me to be thankful for what I have now ... because I remember oh-so-well being in your shoes not too long ago. Hang in there!
Melissa Jill :) - Thanks Lois! This is the pattern I'm using: http://solgrim.blogspot.com/2009/06/sirkel-i-kvadrat.html
emily - I couldn't agree more. I just bought a fall loot to decorate and made a fall wreath inspired by etsy: itzfitz. (check her out) and hope the rain cooled your side of town off :)
Lois - Love the afghan & wondering how you are crocheting the circles together. Any links to the pattern? Love your photography & blog!
Mary - As a Colorado girl who just moved to Las Vegas right before summer started, I hear you. I keep hearing the desert is delightful in the winter though... Love the granny squares afghan!
Carrie Cuellar - So agree! Plusssssss....try being pregnant through all of this! :) At 36 weeks I am ready for the cool weather!
Jessica - I feel the same way! I moved to Washington in July and since I've been here, nothing but sun and at least 85 degrees (ok, it's not 100 but it's still hot). My eyes desperately need a break from the brightness and I'm SO TIRED of being hot I could scream!!
Sincerely Jill - First off, I'm addicted to SYTYCD! It's one of my favorite shows, and this season was particularly awesome wasn't it?! And second, you're afghan looks incredible... I've always wanted to make one, but I'm a little intimidated by granny squares. Any advice?
Annemarie - Really, really? So, it's not going to be bearable next Monday and Tuesday in PHX??? Bummer. We'll be there and I was SO hoping that it wouldn't be miserable. Guess Burke will be in just a diaper. :)
brenda eden - reason number 11: pie. I mean not that you can't eat pie other times of year, but it just seems so meant for fall!
michelle - Your sentence about being OVER IT and equating it to our looooong cold winters up North made a lightbulb of understanding go off in my head. I'm rooting for a cooling trend for you. :)
Leanne - Oh Melissa how awful!! :( I always DREAD summer in Brisbane and it's on its way now!! You describing that sounds pretty much the same as over here! Hope the days go as quick as possible :)
Charrie - I totally understand where you're coming from cuz I'm from southern Oklahoma where we had three months of 100-plus temps until just the last week or two. This is THE most brutal summer OK has ever experienced, definitely makes me want to move to the mountains! And we are also over a foot of rain behind and right now it looks like fall, but it's actually trees dying. So sad!
Gail - Ahhhh..hang in there hon!!! (PS-The afghan is looking FABULOUSSSSS!!!)
Kelly Hicks - I feel your pain! This year I'm excited to enjoy fall in Minnesota but I will hate life in March! Where is the happy medium??
