This is my best thing.
Sometimes I call her Dixie or Dixie-dog. Other times I see her and say, "Hi the best thing." Which has come to be shortened to simply, "The Best."
Hopefully she has little doubt of my love.
Since moving to the new house last year, we've had to re-arrange the sofa cushions so that they don't get permanently molded with a Dixie-shaped hole in the top of them.

But now we lay the cushions flat so Dixie can simultaneously keep an eye on Sara & I working AND on the neighborhood. And I can keep my sofa a little longer :).
