Springtime in Phoenix means warm weather, cloudless skies, and the sweet smell of orange blossoms flooding the old citrus-tree-filled neighborhoods. It's a magical time of year. It was only fitting, therefore, that Jessica and Carl, who fell in love watching the cherry blossoms bloom, get married here in Arizona this weekend.

Jessica and Carl met in 2005 at Georgetown University in Washington DC, where they were both getting their Master's Degrees. However, the exact moment they met is still up for debate.

Jessica's first memory of Carl was when they went to temple together for Rosh Hashannah, the Jewish New Year. They were both new in town and didn't have any family nearby. And even though Carl arrived late, it was nice to have someone there she could spend the holiday with. Carl, on the other hand, remembers meeting Jessica on the very first day, in the very first moments on campus, at the very first Welcome BBQ. There was something about her, even in a sea of new faces, that Carl simply couldn't forget.

When Carl and Jessica saw each other for the first time on their wedding, there was no debate. It was a moment they will always remember. Carl turned around to see his beautiful bride standing before him and all he could say was "Wow. You look so beautiful." Over and over and over again. All she could do was smile.

They have been waiting for this day for years, and now that it was finally here, it was as breathtaking and as sweet as cherry trees in full bloom.

For Carl and Jessica - both medical residents in New York - this was a destination wedding. They picked the Four Seasons for it's gorgeous desert landscape and views. Their guests travelled in from near and far to enjoy the beautiful Arizona spring and the day did not disappoint!

Jessica wore a gorgeous Augusta Jones gown:
Her flowers, done by The Flower Studio embraced the desert and included little succulents. I couldn't get over how gorgeous the colors in her bouquet were!
Jessica's mother and bridesmaids helped her into her dress:
Carl and Jessica were so sweet together and we had a great time capturing some amazing portraits around the venue.
The ceremony was outdoors in a gorgeous location:
Jessica walked down the aisle with her parents:
Jessica's grandfather couldn't physically make it to the wedding, but he was able to watch the ceremony via video chat from his home in California! I just loved this! Here he is watching Jessica descend the stairs:
The chuppah was filled with loving family members and the ceremony was filled with emotion and meaning:
Husband and wife!!
The reception details were beautiful - and well lit! :) - and again, embraced their love for Arizona:
The first dance was really cute:
And my favorite thing about Jewish weddings - the Hora!!!
Such a great day! To see even more photos from this amazing wedding, click here to watch the slideshow!
