My favorite Christmas gift I received this year was Taylor Swift's new CD. This girl is CRAZY talented. I'm mostly blown away by her song writing talents and her ability to tell stories that are so genuine and relatable. She is vulnerable and transparent in her work and I want those qualities to shine through in my photographs. I know it's playing on the radio non-stop but Back To December is going to stand the test of time. Crazy good.

I have the same sandwich for lunch every day. Partly because I'm boring and don't like making too many decisions in the course of the day but MOSTLY because it's so stinkin' tasty.
The brilliance of my tasty lunch sandwich is two-fold. One - I substitute bread for these:

Less bread makes all the flavors of the sandwich balance better PLUS it's more healthy.
And two - I substitute mayo for hummus. This is my favorite kind from Fresh & Easy:

SO yummy. Hummus is full of flavor, spreadable, and super-healthy so it makes a brilliant substitute for mayo. The rest of my sandwich contents are: turkey, salami, avocado & spinach. Paired with my chip addiction - Garden Salsa Sun Chips - I look forward to lunch every day :).

I have a window just to the right of my iMac. When I look outside it into my front yard, the above photo is my view. I hung a bird feeder in my mulberry tree in October. I went to Home Depot and stood in the aisle with the bird feed, finally settling on the kind that boasted that it "appealed to the widest variety of birds." I put it in my bird feeder and waited. And waited. And waited. Finally, just a few weeks ago I had my first taker. Yay! Isn't he cute?

FRIENDS is hands down the best TV show ever. EVER. I own all 10 seasons on DVD. Yes I do. When my friend Shannon married my friend Greg, they both owned all 10 seasons and they generously bequeathed one set to me. Since then, my DVD player has pretty much continuously housed a disk of FRIENDS episodes. They come in really handy when there isn't much good on TV - like summer and over the New Year break. Even though I know all the lines, I still laugh. Epic Brilliance.

I'm so excited - my new home office is almost complete and ready to show you guys! The last and hardest step is always deciding what goes on the walls. Just this last week I hung these beauties. They are 36x46 inch canvas wraps. I got them from WHCC but unfortunately I won't be using them again. It took two tries to get them right. The first ones I received were SUPER dark. Like the grooms tux in the photo on the right was a block of black. When reordering them I had to guess and lighten the files I sent in a ton in order to get them to print acceptably. I'm happy with the end result but I just don't want to gamble every time I place a canvas order. I've ordered another canvas from Canvas on Demand and I'm happy with them so far. I just have a few more to order and then I'll share my full office remodel with you!
