Thanks to the 152 of you who participated in the lemon contest from this post. I guess if I ever want to hear from you all, I just need to give away free stuff :).

Some of you were MIGHTY close to guessing the number of lemons I picked off my tree - namely those of you who guessed in the 400s. Drum roll please.....

The number of lemons I picked off my one little back yard lemon tree WAS --

476.

Can you believe that!? Crazy. And yes, they're all in the above two bins.

I did some calculations and figured I can make 90 pitchers of lemonade. That's enough to almost have 2 pitchers of lemonade per week for an entire year.

So what am I going to do with all my lemons you ask? Here are some options I've considered:

1 - Start a side business involving a lemonade stand
2 - Juice all the lemons and freeze the juice so I can enjoy lemonade year round
3 - Give them away
4 - Use toothpicks to make them into a family of lemon people to decorate my yard with
5 - Hide behind a bush and pelt my mean neighbor with them whenever he comes out of his house

After much deliberation I've decided to go with a combination of options 2 and 3. If you live in the area and want to stop by for lemons OR lemonade I've got both.

And now for the contest results! We have a tie. Heather and Stacey both guessed 472 lemons. Only 4 off! Impressive! So ladies, you get to split the hefty prize and I will be sending you both $10 iTunes gift cards. I might even throw in a lemon or two :). Email me with your addresses!
