YIPEEEEE!!!!!!!
Imagine me doing a little jig in my office right now. Because I AM. Today my new website/blog has launched. SO much work has gone into this thing and I have a gazillion people to thank. But first -- let me share with you some of the fun new features you will want to know about as you explore:
My blog now resides IN my website. They share a navigation. And they like each other a whole lot more. You'll find that they constantly encourage you to click back and forth between them. But you can also link directly to my blog and your RSS feed should still work without having to change anything.
My home page is a fun slideshow in a grid format and each time you visit it, the photos are different and load in a different manner. The song is I Will Always Love You by Don Hejny, a talented musician out of Nashville who gave me permission to use it on my site. I'm in love with this song. Thanks Don!
My favorite, favorite thing about my new site is the goodness you get to view by clicking on "MJ in Action." I'm absolutely blown away and humbled by how great my clients are. A huge thank you goes to Michael & Kindra and David & Ashley for looking like celebrities, being so stinking articulate and loving me so much. What a killer combo! Thanks for making me sound so cool. I must have watched what you say in this video about a gazillion times in the course of editing it and I STILL get goosebumps and laugh out loud. Also, I want to thank Jeff & Taryn from Serendipity Videography for putting endless hours into the filming and editing of this video and for their committment to making it perfect for me. You guys rock!!
If you click on my bio page under "melissa jill" you will see some new photos of me courtesy of Jamie Delaine. This girl is seriously talented because I'm pretty picky about photos of me and she took a whole bunch that I like. Thanks friend!
And one more feature that I love is the voting feature on my blog. If you scroll down to a wedding or portrait post, or better yet, click on the "weddings" category under the "blog" button on the above navigation you will see there is a way to vote for your favorite images in each post. Just click on the star under the image you like and your vote will be tallied by the mysterious brilliance built into my website and then the gallery called "blog favorites" under the "portfolio" button in the navigation above will be automatically updated. So any time you want to know which images are favored by my blog readers, you can visit that portfolio to see the latest line-up. The images appear in order of highest to lowest votes and the gallery will display the top 30 images. SO FUN!!!
A HUGE thanks goes to Brock from Infinet Design for putting this website together for me. Brock has the patience of a saint and his customer service is unmatched. He was just a joy to work with and I would definitely recommend him to anyone who is looking for a web designer!
