I had hoped i would have more time to shoot street photography around New Orleans while I was there for the conference, but alas, like most conferences, it kept me stinkin' busy. Good busyness -- learning, meeting people, networking, eating good food, staying up late chatting -- but busy nonetheless. I took my camera out a few times while out and about and wanted to share just a couple photos from my fleeting time in this culture-filled city. I hope one day I get the chance to get to know it even better.
Of course, everyone said I MUST go to Cafe Du Monde for beignets (french donuts) and now I know why. I COULD EAT THEM EVERY DAY. It's a good thing I live across the country from this cafe otherwise I'm afraid my waistline would experience a circumference it has not yet know. Here are some shots from my first night at Cafe Du Monde. It was so good I stopped by the next night as well :).

My friend Rhonda got ahold of my camera while there and proceeded to take these self-portraits which I was delighted to string together into this entertaining animated gif:
There were all sorts of horse-drawn carriages available in the French Quarters to give people rides. This little guy was hanging out in the front seat of one and I had to get his photo. Oh, how I adore doggies.
The food was amazing. Here's a menu of food you could find everywhere:
And a few other random shots:
Fun times. I'm excited to go back the this fun city and see even more next year!
