Ahhhhhhhh. Can you believe the cuteness? I just wanted to take him home with me. Isn't it amazing how well camouflaged that little guy is? He's the exact color of the grass he's sitting in. Crazy.

The one animal we didn't get the chance to see was a male lion. But we did get to see 5 lionesses and 5 cubs. And we watched them frolic for quite some time. Lions seriously have it so easy. They lay around 95% of the time. They only have to kill something to eat like every 7 days. They they return to their usual routine of lounging and napping. Every other animal we saw was pretty much constantly grazing.
We drove off the road right up to this scary lady and I swear we were like 15 feet from her IN AN OPEN JEEP. I was a little scared when she gave me this look:
And then this one:
Ya, after that experience I was definitely thanking God for life, air to breath, not being mauled by a tiger...you know--all the things you take for granted every day.

We got to see a lot of baboons including this guy who did me the courtesy of walking in some nice light:
ZEBRAS. What gorgeous amazingly striking creatures. I couldn't peel my eyes away from them.
I loved how the wildebeests hung out with the zebras:
And then at times we saw like 4 different types of animals hanging out together -- like in the first shot on my safari part 1 post where there were zebra, wildebeest, warthogs, and impala all in one place.

We ran into this amazing male elephant that we watched for awhile:
I thought it was nice of him to pose like this for me:
We saw some families of elephants too. If you look close there are two babies in this shot:
Besides the animals we also ran into the occasional jeep-load of crazy humans:
What an unbelievable experience!
This post wraps up my blogging of my Africa trip. It was packed full of precious people, experiences and memories that I will always cherish and that have become a part of me. I am so grateful.
