David and Katie were married Sunday at Waimea Plantation Cottages in Kauai. These two are from Phoenix so this was a destination wedding for them. All 26 of their guests flew in from out of state as well. Everyone stayed on this beautiful property together which allowed for one of my favorite things about destination weddings--plenty of time to spend together with the people you love most. David and Katie were SO great to work with and made me and Sarah feel like we were guests as well--always checking in on us to see if we needed anything.
When we first arrived at the cottage where Katie was getting ready for the day, I found out that her grandparents were enjoying an afternoon nap in the hammock out back. Don't you just love this!?:

The cottage where the girls got ready was so much fun to shoot in--clean, simple and full of beautiful light. Here's a shot of Katie's Romona Keveza gown hanging in the stairway:
Make-up and hair were both done by Alexander of Alexander Day Spa & Salon.
Getting into the dress:
Katie looked stunning! This is definitely one of my favorites from the day:
I was able to walk across the way to the cottage where David and his guys were getting ready and catch a few shots of them as well:
David was so excited to marry Katie.
The couple saw each other before the ceremony so we were able to capture lots of fun portraits and get them all taken care of beforehand. Here's a sweet moment from the first look:
Waimea Plantation Cottages has this amazing Banyan tree on its property and I had so much fun shooting underneath it:
Love the feel of this one:
The ceremony site was breathtaking:
So happy to finally be married!
The reception was held in a tent behind one of the cottages. Here are a few shots of the beautiful details. Flowers were done by Martin Roberts:
A sweet shot of Katie dancing with her dad:
Katie's grandparents (the same ones who were in the hammock) tore up the dance floor:
What an amazing location and an amazing day!!
Katie & David -- thanks so much for allowing me to be a part of your wedding! It was such a blessing!
