I love my job. I believe the exact technical terms of the job description of a wedding photographer include "being a part of the most important day in couples' lives, capturing their memories and just all around in general making people happy." Ya, it's in the handbook. A bonus that's not always included in the job description but is thrown into the mix on occasion is "traveling to paradise in order to achieve above said goal." Today I landed in Kauai. This is my second time visiting this amazing island. I love the feel of the air. I love the color of the ocean. I love that everywhere you look are wild chickens. I love enjoying all of the above with piƱa colada in hand. And that's what I did today. I know, I'm unbelievably blessed. And now you're all wondering how you can sign up for this job description, right? :)
On Sunday I get to shoot David and Katie's wedding. I can't wait. I also have some other fun shoots planned. So stay tuned! In the meantime, feel free to browse through some of the posts from my last time here in the Fall of 2007 when I shot Andy & Jonna's wedding:
the sunset cruise
the wedding
trash the dress session
luau
helicopter tour
And here's a couple of my favorite shots I came home with from that trip:
