Jon & Joan's Engagement Shoot

Last night I met up with Jon and Joan for their engagement shoot on Mill Ave. in Tempe. I completely hit it off with these two and am so stoked that they are my clients. They have such a sweet story. They met in the children's choir at church when they were in 5th & 6th grade. They started dating in Junior High and as Joan tells it, she got Jon roses before she knew it wasn't "cool" for girls to give guys flowers. She put a silk rose in the middle of the bunch and wrote on the note, "I will love you until the last rose dies." Jon completely missed the note at that time and part way into high school they broke up. A few years later Jon came across Joan's flowers in a box and opened the note. They've been together ever since. I can hear the collective "Awwww" now. SO SWEET.

We started out the shoot in a coffee shop as Jon and Joan love to just hang out, talk and drink coffee together.
