2nd shooting with Stuart Thurlkill

Saturday I had the chance to help out my friend Stuart Thurlkill of Eyes 2 See Photography with one of his weddings. I love to 2nd shoot every once in awhile. There's a little less responsibility involved and I just get to show up on the day and be creative. When I shoot my own weddings, I feel obligated to my brides and grooms to capture certain things and the weight of the photography responsibility rests on me. But when I second shoot, I'm able to shed the running list in my head and I have more time to look around me for other opportunities. Plus it was just fun to hang out with Stuart and see him in action. He is such a great photographer and just a lovely person all-around. I always feel encouraged in his presence.
