Saturday I shot Emmitt & Jocelyn's wedding. These two are unbelievably sweet people and I've been so blessed to witness their love for one another.
The day started out with make-up at the Bobbi Brown counter at Biltmore Fashion Park:

Jocelyn is so gorgeous:
Next we moved on to Living Streams Church where the ceremony took place. It was also the site of Jocelyn's parents' wedding 30 years ago.

The ceremony was so touching. There wasn't a dry eye in the house, including mine. Emmitt's mother passed away unexpectedly in October and her presence was dearly missed. Jocelyn & Emmitt both wrote their vows to one another and in hers, Jocelyn said, "When we found out that Mom would not be with us for very much longer, I made a promise to her that I would always take care of you and love you unconditionally. That was my promise to her and it is my vow to you." Wow.

Over 500 guests were in attendance:
After the ceremony we headed to the Arizona Biltmore Resort for portraits and the reception.
From the first dance:
Jocelyn's father gave a tender toast that brought out the tissue once again:

Finally, one last shot. In the past 6 months I've had the pleasure of shooting weddings for three awesome couples who were all in attendance-- Laura & Vincent, Jocelyn & Emmitt, and Kimberly & Nelson. Laura and Kimberly are sisters and Laura and Jocelyn were college roommates and good friends. It's been so much fun to look forward to seeing them all again at each other's weddings. I was able to grab my three couples for one final shot:
What a great day! Thanks Jocelyn & Emmitt for allowing me to be your photographer! It was a treat! And I'm so blessed to walk away with your friendship as well. You are both in my heart.
