Woo-hoo! VERY excited to check this one off the list.
I have been a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association for 4 years now. They hold quarterly photography contests that I faithfully enter every quarter. I won a 2nd place award in 2004 for this photo submitted in the "Portrait of a Bride" category:

I have been a member of the Wedding Photojournalist Association for 4 years now. They hold quarterly photography contests that I faithfully enter every quarter. I won a 2nd place award in 2004 for this photo submitted in the "Portrait of a Bride" category:
But since then NOTHING. Until now. The top photo from Greg & Shannon's wedding placed 9th in the "Ceremony" category of a recent contest! Normally I wouldn't be that excited about a 9th place but these contests are tough. And there are so many A-MAZ-ING photographers who submit incredible images each quarter. Seriously so inspiring. Click here to see the other award-winning images to see what I'm talking about. I feel very honored to be in the company of these talented photographers from around the world.
