Yesterday we took a day of rest from the crazy pace we've maintained for the past 5 days. It was so nice. We caught up on some sleep and turned on the TV to see what was happening with the Olympics. And after having it on in the background for a few hours I still don't know what's happening with the Olympics. If only I knew Italian. I'm definitely missing NBC. They do such an amazing job of helping you get to know the athletes and of course focusing on some of the more entertaining events. One thing I HAVE learned is that fencing is all the rage in Italy. It's been on 75% of the time. I know next to nothing about fencing. I guess you try to stab the other person first? And at what point in history did the swords stop causing mortal wounds and death? That takes most of the fun out of it. JK JK. Don't worry I do not enjoy or condone violence.

So it's interesting experiencing the Olympics in another country but I'm relieved that I have my Tivo working away for me while I'm gone. When I get home I will have nothing but 40 hours of Olympics recorded. And yes, I do plan on sitting on my couch and watching it 24/7 for a couple days while I recover from jet lag. And cuddle my dog. Ah heavenly.

And just so you know-- I WILL mortally wound anyone who leaves a comment giving anything away!!
