Back-up solution

I purchased this little baby a couple months ago and finally got around to getting it set-up (with the help of my exceptional assistant and Jeff, the friendly Apple business consultant). Yay! It's great. I have 2 computers and two printers in my office and the Time Capsule connects them all wirelessly. It's also a 1TB hard drive that automatically backs up both of my computers on a daily basis. Effort and thought required by me = nada. What a thing of beauty.

Back-up and storage is a huge issue for photographers and one that we too easily overlook until something catastrophic happens. Thankfully, I've never lost files permanently, but I have had hard drives fail on me. In each case, however, I had a 2nd back-up elsewhere.

Now I don't have to worry about what I have and haven't backed up during the working phase of our production. I will still burn DVDs for long-term storage and back up another complete copy of all our edited files on another external hard drive once we finish a wedding, but now I have security for all my working files as well.

If you're a mac-loving-photographer looking for a back-up solution, this is definitely one to check into. The $500 price tag for 1TB of storage and a wireless router is a pretty decent deal.
