73. Take more photos for Portico (my church) and add them to the website

This month is slow wedding-wise since it's freakishly hot in Phoenix, so I'm taking advantage of the extra time to check more things off my list. This is one I've been wanting to do for awhile. My church is great--I love it. And I love being able to help out in the photography realm with anything that's needed. It's been awhile since I've supplied photos and we needed new photos for the website, photos for powerpoint backgrounds and some art for our walls. So I grabbed Steve, one of my pastors and friends and we walked around downtown Chandler shooting one day a couple weeks ago. It was challenging. I do this all the time when I travel to new places and it's so fun to just walk around the streets and shoot whatever I see. But it's a little tougher when you're shooting what you see everyday. For some reason it's not as beautiful and inspiring. Nonetheless, I think we accomplished the goal and got some good shots of our community to serve our needs and hopefully help us to focus more on our community, which is part of our vision.

Here's a little of what I saw that day:
My plan is to do this around the Chandler area about twice a year just to get some fresh images for Portico. So if you're in the area and what to do some street shooting, let me know!
