I feel like I'm using the words "surreal" and "epic" a lot these days -- haha! But guys -- MY ENGAGEMENT PHOTOS ARE IN!!! Mine!
WHAT!??
After shooting HUNDREDS of engagement sessions for other couples who are in love, I finally got in front of the camera with the love of my life. And it's so SURREAL -- haha!
Daniel Kim is our wedding photographer and I have to give him HUGE props for the work he did to make this shoot so epic.
It all started with Daniel and I talking about where we should do our shoot. I knew I didn't want to do any of the locations I've used in the past, so I asked Daniel if there were any locations that he had on his bucket list. He mentioned two -- including Monument Valley -- which is on the border between Arizona and Utah. I had never been, but I loved the idea and we went with it!
Looking back, that's the best question I could have asked Daniel. If you want epic photos, ask your photographer where they have always wanted to shoot. Turns out if they are excited about the location and it's on their bucket list, they're extra-invested in making the photos epic!
Daniel showed up a day early and drove around scouting for 3 hours to find the perfect angles and light to do this stunning landscape justice. I was so impressed with him on the day of our shoot as he drove us from place to place. It almost felt like it was perpetually sunset hour for 3 hours straight because he had us in the perfect light the whole time.
And we had so much FUN! I love this man so much and am SO thankful God brought him into my life. I can't wait to marry him in 12 days!
