Jen once told me that her first impression of Mark was "a really cute guy who always looked like he needed a hug." haha! After ten years of dating, she revised that impression to "a kind, intelligent, funny man that she planned to spend her life with."
Last year, Mark & Jen were planning a Caribbean cruise together. Leading up to the trip Mark was acting a little funny, but after dating for so long, Jen wasn't really anticipating a proposal every time she noticed something out of the ordinary. So she didn't make any assumptions, and they embarked on their vacation cruise. It was a beautiful time to be at sea! On their first morning on board the ship, Mark pulled her out onto the balcony to take a selfie of the two of them before heading out to the pool. After snapping the picture, Jen turned around ... and Mark was holding the ring. "I have a really important question to ask you," he said as he knelt down on one knee. Not only had he planned to propose on the cruise, but he had even asked Jen's father for his blessing ahead of time!
