30. Get my phone set up so I can access the internet anywhere on my laptop
Today has been unbelievable. My friend JT (a.k.a. Jefferson Todd) is magic. He came over to help me with a few projects around the office. I'm not so great with the technical stuff but everything this guy touches is magically transformed into something that works the way you want it to. I've dreamed for a long time of being able to access the internet from anywhere I get phone service. I have a Treo 650 with T-mobile and an unlimited data service. I know it's possible to do but wouldn't have the first clue of where to start to figure it out. And even if I did get a clue--guaranteed it would take me like 30 times longer to figure out than it does JT. Now I can use my phone to get internet access on my laptop wherever I have phone service! And it doesn't cost me anything more than what I'm already paying!! Unbelievable. I couldn't stop smacking JT and telling him how amazing he is. PLEASE don't write to ask me anything about how this was done. I still have no clue but simply stand in awe.
He also helped me towards completing #29 on my list--which I won't feel right about checking off until I get the ugly cord running through my wall instead of in front of it. AND he helped me to use my .mac account to get my folders and all my emails to sync on both my desktop and laptop. He also told me I need to compress my photos on my blog more so that it loads quicker. So I'll be doing that from now on to help save you all a little time :).
Wow. What a great day. This just goes to show that a large part of a person's success comes from knowing the right people. I can't know everything. But I do know someone who seems to :). Thanks my friend!
