When Rod proposed to Kimberly, he committed to creating a romantic moment that would be treasured forever!
Kimberly THOUGHT she was taking a lone trip back to Arizona to visit her family while Rod stayed behind in LA. While on this visit, she accompanied her mom & sister to go out to dinner, and they told her they just needed to make a quick stop at a friend's house. Pulling up at the "friend's" house on Camelback Mountain, Kimberly was shocked to see letters in the entryway ... her initials and Rod's. Kimberly was told to follow a path of rose petals, which led her to the balcony where Rod was waiting to propose.
Kimberly cried. Rod cried. Both of their families (including many who had flown in to be part of this moment) cried. The house was full of candles, rose petals, and happy tears as Rod & Kimberly celebrated the new chapter in their lives surrounded by their loved ones.
All of the love, the romance, and the connection to their families that were such a huge part of the proposal were also evident at Rod & Kimberly's wedding! I photographed the weddings of both of Kimberly's sisters, Kristen and Jen, so I felt incredibly honored to document Kimberly's as well! Here are a few of my favorite images from their lovely wedding:
