One of the blessings of living in Phoenix is that Sedona is within easy driving distance. It's so uniquely beautiful, and it makes for INCREDIBLE photographs. But even though I adore shooting in Sedona, it's more important to me that an engagement shoot location have real meaning for my clients.
It's just lucky for me that Lexie & Josh DO have a powerful connection to this gorgeous setting. :)
These two met while both were taking a break from the corporate world and were working in fitness -- Josh as a personal trainer and Lexie as a spinning & yoga instructor. From the start they've enjoyed being active together so when Josh suggested a day trip to Sedona for some hiking, Lexie thought nothing of it. Just another fun day together! They hiked Cathedral Rock and had a great time, even though Josh seemed oddly distracted. On the way down, Josh suggested a little detour, which led to a beautiful and secluded landing. The view was glorious, but Lexie forgot all about the stunning scenery when Josh dropped to one knee. When they emerged (newly engaged) at the base of the trail, Lexie's parents were waiting there with champagne.
It was so much fun to take Josh & Lexie back to the scene of their engagement for this photo shoot! The wind was intense that day, but they never stopped smiling! Josh & Lexie were so much fun to spend time with, and we got some fantastic photos. Here are a few of my favorites from this shoot:
