Today, meet Jillian (left) & Laura (right) of Bella Bridesmaids! Their boutique in downtown Scottsdale is the perfect place to find amazing dresses for your wedding party! I've been lucky enough to photograph dresses from Bella Bridesmaids in Scottsdale on several occasions, and I'm always dazzled by their style and flair!
Here is a little Q & A to help us get to know Laura & Jillian a little better. Read their answers below each question:
1. How long have you been in business?
A year and a half! We opened our doors December 19, 2015.
2. What got you interested in starting your business?
We've always loved fashion, and have talked about owning a boutique since we were in college. Laura worked for the Bella Bridesmaids location in Raleigh, NC for a few years and loved it, so we decided to join together and open our own location here in Scottsdale.
3. What do you feel sets you apart from other boutiques in the wedding industry?
We only carry bridesmaids dresses, so we're able to put all of our focus and energy into making sure the bride gets exactly what she is looking for while keeping her 'maids happy and stylish.

4. What kinds of brides do you work with most often?
We work with all kinds of brides (and in some cases, grooms!). Some want a clean, simple, and traditional look for their wedding, while others want each of their 10 bridesmaids to wear a different style, color, and material that matches their individual personality. Nothing is out of the question!
5. What do you enjoy most about working in the wedding industry?
We love hearing brides and their 'maids say that they love their dresses. Too often bridesmaids' dresses get a bad reputation, so we enjoy helping brides and their 'maids find something unique and perfect for the Big Day. We're ALL about re-wearing your bridesmaids dress!
6. When meeting with brides, what is the biggest tip you find yourself giving them?
Do what makes YOU happy! It's your (and your fiancé(e)'s) big day. You will get lots of opinions, but what really matters is your own happiness.
7. What current trend in wedding dresses do you personally like the most?
Separates! We love this trend for brides and bridesmaids. We have a bride who got an AMAZING hand-painted blue skirt to wear for her Big Day, and she plans on wearing it every year on her anniversary -- how many brides can say they've done that?! We also have a lot of separates in our store for bridesmaids ... and we're definitely guilty of taking them off the floor to wear at work or for a special event!
