My Dixie girl is 10 years old! It breaks my heart to say it because I don't want her to get any older, but at the same time, I feel so blessed that God has entrusted me with such a sweet creature for an entire decade! She is a bright light in my world and brings me so much joy every day.
This year I carried on what has become a favorite yearly tradition and threw a birthday party (aka a glorified doggie playdate) for her in my backyard. Because we've done this for the past 7 years now, she knows the drill -- "I just have to put up with these birthday hats and photos and I get cake out of it." haha!
We had food of both the human and pup variety, family photos, and lots of butt sniffing. It was so much fun this year with cute puppies and kids everywhere you looked. Thanks to all of Dixie's friends who came out and made her birthday so special!
