Rod & Kimberly are one of those amazing couples who are truly best friends, and I can't help but laugh at the story of how they met. They've known each other since college, but although they both attended the University of Arizona, that's not exactly where they met. To fill an accounting requirement, they both enrolled in the same class at the local community college. The day they met was the one and only snow day of their college careers, when their class was cancelled due to the weather. Bundled up against the cold as she left the school, Kimberly was annoyed to hear an appreciative yell from a random guy. She ignored him and left ... and then came face-to-face with him the next morning, when they both showed up to the tiny accounting class.
Over the course of the semester, Rod went from "weirdo who tried to hit on Kimberly at a community college" to "best friend ever." And it wasn't many more months after that that his title shifted to "incredible boyfriend." I can't wait to be there in October when Kimberly changes Rod's title again, from "fantastic fiancé" to "beloved husband!"
I feel so blessed to have been able to travel to California to shoot Rod & Kimberly's engagement photos. Victoria Beach, with its craggy rocks and unique tower, was the perfect backdrop for this laughing, loving couple! Here are a few of my favorite images from our shoot:
