I have had the opportunity to work with some of the most talented and personable vendors and wedding consultants in the wedding industry. I love to refer my clients to professionals I have worked with who I truly believe will do an amazing job for them. While I love to share my Favorite Vendors List, I also like to occasionally spotlight each of them more in depth.
Today, meet Jacki Miller of Foil & Ink! Jacki is on the left in the photo above, with her designer Whitney on the right. I've been lucky enough to work with Jacki on several projects, and Foil & Ink also created the beautiful design for my newborn lifestyle photography website. I'm always so blown away by her talent! She and her team create stunning wedding stationery that is truly art!
Here is a little Q & A to help us get to know Jacki & her team better. Read her answers below each question:
1. How long have you in the wedding business?
We've been specializing in wedding invitations for 2 years now.
2. What first got you interested in starting your business?
I love tangible products! I love getting to work with different papers, printing techniques, (letterpress, foiling, etc.). It's always neat to see your designs in print. It's always fun to get to get to try new mediums and techniques with certain brides. It's fun to have our creativity pushed by our brides fun and unique ideas.
3. What do you feel sets you apart from other stationers in the wedding industry?
A bunch of our designs aren't as traditional as many other designs you may see out there. We like to include unique details and custom artwork to our designs. Some examples include : dip-dye, watercolor splashes, deckled edges, leafing, and more!

4. What type of clients/weddings do you most find yourself working with?
We generally work with brides who love letting their personalities show through their paper products. They love adding touches of foiling or letterpress to their designs to give them a bit of "pop". Most of our brides right now are ordering invitations with bright or bold colors and textures.
5. What do you enjoy most about creating wedding stationery?
I love creating completely custom designs for brides – designs that show off their unique personalities and theme of their weddings. Starting from scratch is both exciting, but overwhelming at times when you want to send them something perfect on the first round. I love getting to try different layouts, patterns, and textures with each custom piece. And then seeing the final, printed product is the icing on the cake!
6. What would your biggest piece of advice to brides & grooms be?
Have a few ideas in mind before you begin the design process, but be open to trying new things that your designer thinks will be a fun and fresh way to go. The sky is the limit with what can be done with your wedding invitations! So don't be scared to try something new. Remember that your invitations are the first detail your guest get to see of your wedding!

7. What current trend in wedding stationery do you personally like most?
I will always be a fan of the classic letterpress and foiling, especially when it's done on handmade paper. Custom calligraphy is also one of my favorite current trends. Anything with a handmade look or feel to it is beautiful.
8. Any fun-facts that we should really know that would contribute even more to your coolness?
I'm a lover of the outdoors! I would live in a treehouse in the woods if I could! :) Also, growing up I totally thought I would be a professional surfer girl (like in the movie Blue Crush), but soon after visiting the beach I realized I hated salt water ... It was a heartbreaking disappointment :)
Awww! I'm glad you live in Arizona, where we don't have beaches to remind you of that heartbreak! Thanks so much for taking the time to share with us today, Jacki! Make sure you click over to Foil & Ink's website to see more of the incredible stationery this amazing team creates!
