There's no question that outdoor weddings are extremely popular in Phoenix ... especially since our wedding seasons are in the autumn and spring when the weather is gorgeous! I adore outdoor weddings so much that I've shared a blog post about Phoenix venues that make the most of our unique desert beauty AND one about Phoenix venues that provide a lush, garden setting for outdoor weddings. But even when the wedding ceremony is either outdoors or at a separate indoor venue (like a church), many couples love the elegance of a ballroom reception. I put together a list of five venues that I adore where you can host a beautiful ballroom reception so that you and your loved ones can dance the night away! I've been lucky enough to shoot at all of these venues, so I can attest to how fabulous they are.
Silverleaf Club -- Scottsdale, AZ
If you're imagining luxury and rich, Old World style, you're thinking of Silverleaf. The scenery is breathtaking, and the stone walls make the ballroom completely unique. And if you want to dance under the stars, the courtyard adjoining the ballroom makes it the best of both worlds! Click here to see more of one of my favorite shoots at Silverleaf Club.

Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia -- Paradise Valley, AZ
"The Omni Scottsdale Resort and Spa at Montelucia" is kind of a mouthful to say, which is why most locals just call it Montelucia. Montelucia is such a dream venue! It has elegant architecture with a Moroccan vibe and beautiful landscaping, as well as being home to ballrooms that are perfect for wedding receptions. The Castillo Lucena is my favorite, with it's beamed ceiling and clean space! Click here to see more photos from a stunning wedding I recently shot at Montelucia.

El Chorro -- Paradise Valley, AZ
El Chorro is a little piece of history tucked right against Camelback Mountain, and I love it! El Chorro kind of has everything … expansive lawns for the ceremony, lush desert flora for portraits, and both indoor and outdoor venues for the reception. In fact, it has SO MUCH variety that I also included it on BOTH my post about desert venues in Phoenix and my blog post about garden venues in Phoenix! Click here to see a lovely wedding I shot at El Chorro.

Villa Siena -- Gilbert, AZ
While the other locations on this list have various functions (restaurant, resort, country club), Villa Siena is purely an event venue. This lovely space is full of Tuscan character and distinctive touches, like fountains, fireplaces, wrought iron, and wood paneling. Click here to see more from a wedding I shot at Villa Siena.

Paradise Valley Country Club -- Paradise Valley, AZ
Phoenix has many country clubs and golf resorts, but Paradise Valley Country Club is special! The outdoor spaces are stunning, and the ballroom, with its elegant picture frame molding, is an absolutely charming venue for a ballroom reception! Click here to see more from an exquisite wedding I shot at Paradise Valley Country Club.

SO MANY possibilities for a ballroom reception here in the Phoenix area! How does one choose? I'll leave that up to you to decide!
