This is it! You've thought long and hard about it, and you know that she's the one. You're a little bit nervous and a whole lot happy. You're ready to pop the question! No, not THAT question! I'm talking about the other exciting proposal that comes before your wedding -- asking your crew, your besties, your sisters, "Will you be my bridesmaid?"
I don't get a chance to be a bridesmaid very often, because I'm usually standing behind a camera when my friends get married -- haha! But over the years, I've seen again and again that bridesmaids can be a HUGE part of the wedding, offering emotional support and practical assistance to keep everything on track. Lately, brides have been recognizing how important their bridesmaids are by getting super creative with their bridesmaid proposals. I love some of these fun ideas SO much. Here are a few of my favorites!
1 -- An invitation
If you haven't been on Pinterest lately, you might not think that an invitation could be fun and creative. You would be wrong! There are oodles of cute invitation options out there. You can get your bridesmaid invitation printed on a balloon, printed IN a balloon, frosted on a cookie … the possibilities are endless! And even if you stick with the tried-and-true card, you'll find a wide variety of options. I love these two cards:

2 -- A Gift
Incorporating a gift into your bridesmaid proposal is a great way to make it a truly personal gesture. Tie your gift into a memory from your friendship to show your BFFs how much they mean to you. Print a "Will You Be My Bridesmaid" label to adorn the cabernet you always drink together while watching The Bachelor. Print photo books that commemorate the times you've shared together. Create custom gift boxes like the one below. Or you can go super classy with an elegant and apropos gift like these dress hangers. And when in doubt, remember that jewelry is usually a great way to ask ANY question!

3 -- An Event
This is an often overlooked possibility, but making your bridesmaid proposal part of an event can be great! Gather your friends together for a game night and pop the question to the group via a round of charades. Organize a day out at the ball park and have the message flash on the scoreboard. Throw a dinner party and serve up a gooey, delicious dessert with the spoons below.

No matter how you ask, the most important part of inviting anyone to be a member of your wedding party is your relationship. These are the people that you love and trust to be by your side on one of the most important days of your life. Be sure you let them know how much they mean to you, and how honored you would be to have them hold your hand … and your veil! :)
