Joe and Liz met when Joe was in NYC for Fleet Week -- a week when the US Navy fleets dock in the New York harbor and the servicemen spend a week in the city dressed in their summer whites. Even though they were only together for a short time, their connection was instant and strong enough for them to continue growing it long distance via Skype during Joe's year-and-a-half-long deployment in Cuba. When Joe showed up at Liz's door after coming home, their reunion proved to them that all of their efforts and waiting were worth it.

Since then, Joe and Liz have relocated to Phoenix and plan to get married in October. I had the pleasure of photographing their engagement photos with their sweet pup, Teddy, on this mountain that is just a few steps from their backyard. Joe & Liz -- I SO enjoyed getting to know you both and can't wait for the wedding!
