Happy Birthday Dixie!

Dixie-dog turned 7 the day I got home from WPPI and I had a wedding that next weekend, so I figured since she's a dog and she doesn't really know when her birthday is, that I'd plan her party for a couple weeks later. So this past Saturday my dog-loving friends descended on my backyard for what has become a yearly tradition. I'm not much of a party planner and everything is SUPER-DIY, so it's really more of a glorified doggie play date -- a great excuse to enjoy the gorgeous weather we have in Phoenix in March and let our dogs get some exercise.

It turned out to be a beautiful day:

My sweet neighbor Amber made the doggies some pupcakes that ended up being VERY popular:

And each of Dixie's doggie friends went home with a fancy treat as a favor:

With 10 dogs and 15 humans, it was a bit chaotic in my backyard, and I was super-tempted to just sit and enjoy my friends, so I didn't take too many photos. But here are a few cute guests of the furry persuasion:
