Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Highlight of the week: Receiving love in the mail. I'm always so impressed when I receive a hand-written thank-you card or note in the mail. I am SO bad at this myself. In this fast-paced digital age, it means so much when someone takes the time to hand-write a note. And the fact that I'm never expecting to receive love in this form makes it all the more sweet when I do.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Created 101 Keynote slides.
2 -- Pulled six baby ticks out of Dixie's whiskers.
3 -- Got my butt out running again. It's a little embarrassing that my friends ran a 1/2 marathon last weekend and I am still working my way through the Couch to 5K app -- running 4-5 minutes at a time in between walks. But it feels good to be out there again!
Our office received a fun delivery this week -- new office chairs! We may or may not have been slightly less productive due to all the spinning.
Celebrating: I used my local photography networking group -- the Phoenix PUG -- to test out my upcoming WPPI presentation. I've done a lot of public speaking, but it's always a little nerve-racking to give a new talk for the first time. Overall it went well -- I have a few things to tweak -- but I'm looking forward to WPPI even more now!
It was so fun to have four MJ2Day alumni at my talk last night! Three of them JUST attended in October, but so much has happened since then I couldn't believe it had only been a few months. They are rocking their goals out and I felt like a proud mother hen seeing how amazing they are doing!
Feeling Blessed: The wedding season kicks off for me tomorrow! I'm really looking forward to photographing this cute couple's wedding! Check back on Monday for photos!
