Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Highlight of the week: Snuggling this cute man. My 82-year-old grandpa made the trip out to AZ to spend a week with us over Thanksgiving and I soaked up every moment of it that I could. My grandma -- his wife -- is suffering in the advanced stages of Alzheimer's so I know how precious this time is with him while he is relatively healthy.

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Ate turkey eight times.
2 -- Made a strategic plan with Sara when we found out the office would be without power for 4 hours in the middle of a work day. Turns out there's not a whole lot you can do without internet these days.
3 -- Got together with three girlfriends to exchange clothes for Engage!13 next week. You know, because "everyone else always has cuter clothes." Said every girl in the known universe.

Thought about putting up outdoor Christmas lights on my house like I have the past two years. Got them out of the shed. Plugged them in. Blew a fuse on one strand. Went to Walmart to replace it. Came home to find out I got the wrong kind. Gave up on aforementioned mission. It was one of those things -- if it didn't happen that day, it wasn't going to happen at all. A window-of-opportunity task if you will. At least the inside of my house is full of holiday cheer!

Celebrating: It's finally cold in Phoenix. Highs in the 50s this week. AND after two seasons of searching, I found a leather jacket. Which has suddenly become extremely handy.

Can we please take a minute to talk about how cute Dixie is in her winter sweater? And how cute it is that she stays snuggled up in bed longer than I do EVERY morning?

Feeling Blessed: The MJP team got in front of the camera for our holiday card photos. It's no small feat to get 7 photographers (the 6 of us PLUS Amy Demos, who graciously photographed us) together this time of year since everyone has a million shoots. But we did it and it was fun. And a great reminder of how blessed I am to have such amazingly cool people on my team. So thankful!
