Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Highlight of the week: A spontaneous dinner out and movie night in with friends next to this coziness. We were all incredibly weary and a bit discouraged. But it was good to be weary together. And to leave one another a little more encouraged.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Gave Dixie no less than 7 whisker baths after she repeatedly got into some mystery nastiness in the back yard.
2 -- Skyped people in Ohio, Michigan and Canada all in one day.
3 -- Worked out for the first time in, oh….a month or so.
Was able to give blood for the first time since I went to Africa last September. Still working on replenishing the blood bank for what my dad used back in 2002. If any of you can give, they always have a shortage around the holidays! Such a relatively easy thing to do for the difference it makes!
Celebrating: Apparently a whole lot of photographers have a whole lot of albums they need designed, because Align, my album design company, has had a record number of orders this week! Super-exciting! Thank you to those of you who are trusting us with your outsourcing, and to all of you who are sending others our way!
Sara introduced me to Portillo's this week for our quarterly business lunch date. She is from Chicago and is THRILLED that her favorite hot-dog joint migrated down to the desert. Not gonna lie, it was pretty yummy.
Feeling Blessed: I'm a part of a Bible study with women who work outside the home in a bunch of different industries, and this week I hosted. It is SUCH a blessing to have this consistent dose of truth and encouragement in my life. And God is at work in me -- thank goodness! :)
