Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Favorite Outfit of the Week -- Striped jeans: Gap / Top: LOFT / Heels: Nordstrom / Earrings: Nordstrom

Highlight of the week: Dinner outside at this cute spot with family. Such a sweet time, and it was the first time I've eaten outside in Phoenix in months. Yay for the promise of cooler weather ahead!!

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Yelled at a voicemail.
2 -- Got up in the middle of the night because I thought I heard a door open and I was too scared to go back to sleep. A search of the house and three episodes of Say Yes to The Dress later, and I was able to fall back asleep.

So The Emmy's were fun to watch, huh? The opening sketch with all the past hosts was hilarious and I LOVED that they included the choreographer award in the live show. The dancing was amazing. Of course, I fast forwarded through a bunch of the speeches, but I thought most of it was pretty cool.

Celebrating: Recent strides in autism research! This man and the rest of the ASU research team are using the money we raise every year during the Zoowalk for Autism to do trailblazing research into causes and treatments for this epidemic that now impacts 1 in 88 children, including my two nephews. I'm SO thankful for them! My family attended a presentation on some of the recent research findings and I'm so encouraged! Click here to read some of the findings (I'm hopeful the content will be provided in a more easy to digest format sometime soon), and if you feel led to help further this valuable research, please click here to donate!

Finished reading a book written by my friend that was published only a week ago. If you're a believer, I highly recommend it! Here are some of my thoughts and favorite bits.

Feeling Blessed: I had lunch three consecutive days with dear friends who really blessed me. One even sent me home with a jar of homemade pickles. It's not every day that your lunch date shows up with a jar of pickles. So ya, it was a good week.
