Seth & Bethy were married three years ago today on 9.5.10 at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge in Phoenix. You can click here to see their original wedding blog post.
Today, in honor of these two, I asked them if they would be willing to share their favorite wedding photo and why it's so meaningful to them. They picked the above photo, which is one of my favorites as well, and Bethy shared this about it:
"When looking back at our pictures it was fun to reminisce about the weekend and think about how far we have come in three years. Between new jobs, a new house and twins on the way, we have so much to be thankful for! When choosing a photo for this post, Seth and I decided to go with more of a 'fun' picture rather than our other favorites which were much more 'traditional wedding', if you can even call Melissa's amazing photos traditional. For those wondering; the cake was a surprise from Seth, flown in from Seattle. We are both huge Florida Gator fans (and thrilled that college football is back!) and Seth used two pictures that I had taken of one of our dogs on a gator statue (see below) while I was an undergraduate student at UF as inspiration for this amazing surprise. While the cake didn't taste good because it was about 4 days old, the surprise was well worth it, especially to see my mom's reaction in the photo! Melissa captured the moment perfectly, as with so many moments throughout the day. We are so thankful to have so many wonderful photos to remember the joining of our two lives and families and can't wait for Melissa to continue to photograph our family as it grows."
Haha! It warms my heart that Seth & Bethy picked this photo. What a great moment! And can you believe that cake!? It was unreal! What an amazing surprise that Seth pulled off.
And oh my goodness -- I couldn't be more thrilled for these two that they are expecting TWINS! I can't wait to meet them!
