Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Highlight of the week: Getting together with my associate photographer team for a little training and team building. Apparently I require photographers who shoot for my brand not only to be talented, but also to be gorgeous and stylish (above L to R: Rachel, Michelle, me, Mary, Tina). It was so fun to spend some quality time with these girls. We did a mini-workshop that focused on shooting details and Sara helped me set up a bunch of DIY details around my house in different lighting situations. We even brought in a display cake courtesy of Let Them Eat Cake -- one of my favorite cake vendors! After our mini-workshop, we reviewed policies and workflow and wrapped up the powwow with lunch out. Super-fun! I know I've said it a million times before, but I feel SO BLESSED to have such great people on my team!
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Invited myself into a conversation that some strangers on a plane were having about The Bachelorette.
2 -- Set a personal best in Running With Friends. I may have a problem. And I hear that this realization is the first step to recovery.
3 -- Used my vacuum cleaner's extension attachment to rid my front stoop of spiders. Then threw the vacuum bag in the trash. Then took the trash out to the dumpster. You just can't leave that kind of thing to chance.
Celebrating: The October MJ2Day is officially SOLD OUT! Yay! That means the full $1,200 registration fee for the +One spot is going to Thirst Relief International and will provide clean drinking water for life for 240 people! Happy dance!! For those of you interested in attending an upcoming workshop, I will be announcing 2014 dates very soon. To be one of the first to hear, sign up for my newsletter!
I finished another 5-star book: Wonder by R.J. Palacio. Thanks to my friend Gail Werner for yet another great recommendation! Click here for my review.
Counting My Blessings: This weekend I'm in the OC vacationing with my family. So far I've gotten to run with this view in 65 degree air, and eat the best fish tacos that have ever crossed my lips. Yum.
