Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Favorite Outfit of the Week: Top: Anthropologie / Navy pants: JCrew / Heels: Steve Madden / Earrings: Target / Bracelet: Lily

Highlight of the week: I successfully cooked dinner and had some friends over to eat it with me for the first time in a long while. I don't cook a whole lot, so it was a proud moment. We had pork tenderloin, corn on the cob, baked potatoes, watermelon and brownies. It wasn't too fancy, but it was edible!

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Rescued my dog from a cat who ferociously attacked her. Surprisingly, this all went down in my friends' backyard. Dixie wasn't even going after the cat, but Jingles acted like it was Dixie's life or her life. She pounced on Dixie's back, hissing and clawing, and the mortified "please-save-me-mom!" look on my dog's face was priceless. Fortunately, aside from the emotional trauma sustained, she is ok.
2 -- Ugly-cried upon finishing this book. SO SO good. You can read my review here. Highly recommended.

In Bachelorette news -- the best date ever in the history of The Bachelor franchise aired this week. And the bachelorette wasn't even on it. It was the date between Manny & Jan -- a sweet couple who has been married for 30+ years and whose house was nearly destroyed by hurricane Sandy. It was such a contrast to see them next to James & Des, who are clearly not right for each other and barely know one another. Yay for The Bachelorette celebrating love that lasts for a change! In other Bachelorette news -- I predict that Desiree will end up with either Chris or Brooks. Most likely Chris. Lots of good guys left, but most of them not right for her at all. That's my take on this season, but weigh in below!

Celebrating: My parents were out of town over Father's Day, so we celebrated belatedly mid-week with pizza at one of my dad's favorite spots. I love this man and am SO thankful for him!!

Counting My Blessings: I didn't even foresee this happening when I set out to start my second business a couple years ago, but just when wedding season wraps up in the spring in Arizona, Align enters its busy season. Busy season for my album design company hit full-force this week with 20+ designs! And eight of them in one day -- a new record! I'm so thankful for the growth and am loving every minute of it! Thank you to all of you photographers out there who use Align and recommend us to others! And yay for staying busy year-round!
