It was April 3, 2010. Jessica and a girlfriend decided to meet up with Jessica's brother and some of his friends at a bar in downtown Columbus, Ohio. A group of them sat together - laughing, talking, enjoying themselves... all except for one guy. This guy was a friend of a friend of a friend. He was kind of quiet and looked kind of bored. So Jessica decided to start a conversation -- why not?! He was so cute!
During their conversation at that bar, she found out that he was smart, he was nice, he was confident. And at the NEXT bar, she found out he could DANCE. SOLD! Jessica told me, "I think I fell in love when I realized he had great rhythm."
She went home smitten and Jeff called on Monday to set up their first date for Wednesday. They've been inseparable ever since.
On Friday I photographed Jeff & Jessica's western-themed rehearsal dinner. If you haven't seen the blog post yet, click here to get caught up! And on Saturday, the couple was married at The Boulders Resort in Scottsdale, aptly named for this gorgeous landscape:

I loved working with one of my favorite wedding planning teams for this event -- Victoria Canada Weddings and Events. With their careful planning and help, everything ran smoothly and turned out beautifully.
It was a gorgeous day as the girls primped in their suite. Jessica's Brussels Griffon, Jet, was on hand for the festivities and wanted to be on Jessica's lap at all times:
I adored the colorful flowers at this wedding -- brilliantly supplied by one of my favorite florists -- Petal Pusher.
This bride is my kind of people. She loves her doggie!
Jessica alternated between laughing and tearing up all day long. She was so much fun to photograph!
The bridesmaids were a gorgeous bunch. I loved their boots the fact that they were up for climbing rocks!
Jeff and his groomsmen celebrated before the ceremony with a toast:
And Jeff pulled out his cowboy hat for a few portraits:
The ceremony site at The Boulders was gorgeous:
Jeff cried when he saw his bride:
In the middle of the ceremony, Jet was set down at the end of the aisle. When he heard Jessica call for him, he trotted right down to her with the rings tied to his collar.
Yay! Husband and wife!!
After the ceremony, we did more portraits with the bridal party. I'm so glad they were up for this:
Then I got to spend some time shooting the gorgeous newlyweds. These are some of my favorites:
The reception took place outdoors in a courtyard at The Boulders. I LOVED the colorful details! And how fun are these escort cards hanging from ribbons on a tree branch?
What an amazing night!
Congratulations Jeff and Jessica!! Thank you so much for allowing me to document your wedding day!
