Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.

Favorite Outfit of the Week: Navy short blazer: H&M / White lace top: borrowed from a friend -- thanks Kari! // Mint cropped pants: Anthropologie / Heels: Alloy / Necklace: Charming Charlie

Highlight of the week: Connecting with so many new and old friends at WPPI in Vegas. I'll be sharing more on Monday, but I'm over-the-moon thrilled with how well everything went. And feeling tremendously blessed.

Yes, I did this:
1 -- Felt a bit overwhelmed by this situation.
2 -- Walked what had to be 5 miles a day -- in heels & wedges mind you -- around the MGM Grand & Vegas airport.
3 -- Got my stiletto heel stuck in a crevasse in the stage in the middle of my WPPI presentation. Spent a good 5 seconds pausing to wrestle it out. That really cemented my coolness in front of the masses.

When I got home on Wednesday night, I collapsed onto the sofa with this cutie and indulged in The Bachelor finale. I really thought Sean was going to pick Lindsay. In past seasons, the womens' intuition on the day of the proposal ends up being prophetic. But this time, that wasn't the case. I felt SO bad for her!! Before the finale, I liked both girls well enough, but after watching it, I am blown away by Lindsay. She seriously is such a classy girl and I have so much respect for her. I can't believe how well she handled herself. I think the show cut out a lot of conversational content throughout the season that would have shown more of her depth of character. Thankfully, the After the Final Rose episode is taped live so it wasn't edited and we got to see that a little more. Lindsay is amazingly mature for her 24 years and so classy. Warning: soapbox commencing. I know I watch this show, so I fan the flame, but The Bachelor focuses so much on the final celebration of a couple finding each other, and banks on everyone being so happy for them, that they are able to overlook the carnage and suffering left along the way. But I don't think the end justifies the means in this situation. It's a tremendously selfish concept if you think about it. The format of the show justifies someone being led to believe they are going to be proposed to one minute, only to be left completely heart-broken the next. Can you imagine? It's one thing to let girls go early on in the season after a couple dates, but this final blow is too harsh. K -- soapbox over :) But someone needs to scoop that girl up. Seriously. She's amazing.

Celebrating: Speaking at WPPI has been a goal on my list for some time. Yay for checking it off! I'm SO thankful to everyone who came out -- thanks for not leaving me in that big room all by myself. And thanks to Queensberry and Align Album Design my super-awesome sponsors!

Another highlight of WPPI for me was our MJ2Day alumni dinner. So fun to catch up with these attendees from workshops past!

Feeling Blessed: I was overwhelmed by the kindness of friends this week. Friends who allowed me to practice my presentation on them and give me honest and helpful feedback, friends who helped me shop & look cute, friends who supported me with non-glamorous but necessary tasks, and friends who took time for me in the midst of the chaos that is Vegas. And I know I sound like I'm giving an awards show acceptance speech at this point, but I'm also so blessed by God for orchestrating it all. Yep, I sure am.
