Highlight of the week: Dixie's birthday party! If you missed the cuteness, click here! I'm convinced there's not many things that are more fun than a birthday party for a dog.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Poked myself in the eye with my sunglasses.
2 -- Decided to sacrifice being Martha Stewart in favor of my sanity and served store-bought cookies instead of homemade ones at the party. Gasp!
3 -- Gave my dog the Heimlich maneuver as she was choking to death on her birthday cake. She usually takes her time eating treats, but I think she tried to swallow her portion whole in fear of the rest of the dogs in the yard swiping it. Once it came up, another dog did promptly swipe it.
Celebrating: I got to cheer on and watch my friend Julie run the Phoenix Marathon in 3:17. That's 26.2 miles at a 7 1/2 minute per mile pace. CRAZY!! I can't even run one mile that fast! I'm SO incredibly blown away by her and proud of her. She qualified for the Boston Marathon (a huge goal of hers), got 3rd in her division, and 15th female overall. Incredible!!
Alright all you closet Bachelor fans (I know you're out there even though you never openly admit it in the comments ;) -- who is it going to be? Both girls are super-nice but I kind of don't think either is right for Sean. Between the two he has the best chance with Lindsey. I love Catherine but she can't even hardly look him in the eye when she's talking to him. Red flag. Either way -- don't tell me if you find out. I'll be in Vegas Monday night so I'll likely be watching it on Tivo Wednesday.
Feeling Blessed: I finally got my mouth on some of my favorite girl scout cookies. I was afraid I was going to miss them this season! Don't they usually start in January? Anyhow, the whole box is gone. Might need to make finding another one a top priority.
