Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Favorite Outfit of the Week -- Polka dot dress (with pockets!): Delia's / Cardigan: LOFT / Belt: Urban Outfitters / Heels: Steve Madden / Ring: Boutique store in San Clemente, CA
Highlight of the week: My staycation last weekend was SO relaxing. Our package at the resort included a breakfast credit so I ordered room service without an ounce of guilt, hung out at an amazing spa, and relaxed by the pool with sweet friends. Super-fun!
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Went for a walk in the rain. Really, it was just sprinkling. But Dixie and I were refreshed.
2 -- Poured beloved half-blended smoothie ingredients down the drain after my trusty Osterizer bit the dust mid-blend after 6 years of daily use. I'll miss you faithful friend.
Thank goodness for a relaxing weekend, because this week hit me like a runaway freight train. It was one of those "when it rains, it pours" kinda weeks with fires to put out everywhere you turn. I guess that's how it goes. If I were running my life and business on my own, I'd a be wreck. SO thankful God is my rock and is with me through it all.
Celebrating: As you know, I've been catching up on my 60+ hours of tivo-ed Olympic coverage. I think I'm up to last Tuesday. One of my favorite moments that I watched recently was Kirani James from Grenada winning the 400m race. Grenada has a population of only 100,000 (that's 1/2 the size of Chandler or Gilbert, Arizona!) and my favorite favorite thing was seeing his country watching him on the big screen as Kirani won them their first EVER olympic medal. What a cool celebration!
It's been so fun this week to read the reviews the Orange County MJ2DAY attendees have written on their blogs about the workshop. You KNOW when people write a review on their own blog, they ain't lying, so it was great to hear their honest feedback. If you're interested in reading any of them, click here, here, here, here or here.
Feeling Blessed: Last night I got to speak at our local Phoenix PUG group (networking group for photographers) and I once again got to interact with some amazing people and photographers. I love my job.
