Frivolous: playful, lighthearted, trivial; the little things in life that should be savored.
Favorite Outfit of the Week -- Shirt: New York & Company / Skinny jeans: American Eagle / Nude heels: Aldo / Earrings: Target
Highlight of the week: You know it -- the Olympics!! My favorite bit so far was the USA women winning gold in gymnastics. Needed tissues for that one. My biggest pet peeve is the medal count. SUCH a US thing to do. They should have a metal count per capita and also give third world countries a sizable handicap. Yes they should.
Yes, I did this:
1 -- Went swimsuit shopping and then proceeded to work out 5 times this week.
2 -- Took teeny tiny baby steps everywhere I walked in those heels. Does anyone offer lessons for walking in 5 inch heels, because I need them!
Had a fun, spontaneous weekend. My friends Gina & Marcus dropped by to watch the Olympics & go on a late-night donut run with me and the next day I went to a Diamondbacks game last minute with a sweet friend. Love those kind of weekends.
Celebrating: Went to the travel clinic and found out I needed zero vaccinations for my upcoming trip to Angola since I was in Africa three years ago. Yay! Unfortunately, my sister needed three. :( She was brave and I was supportive.
Sara & I are catching a flight tomorrow to get ready for the MJ2DAY that starts in Orange County Monday! SO excited for this group! Can't wait to meet all the talented photographers who want to take their businesses to the next level!
Feeling Blessed: We had some thunderstorms this week, which I love, but Sunday the power went out in the middle of my Olympic marathon. And it didn't come back on for one hour. Which doesn't sound long, but it seemed like five. Thankfully my neighbor friends had headlamps and wanted to go out for Thai food. So all was not lost. But it definitely reminded me how blessed I am to be able to see after dark and live in an air conditioned house with cold food on hand.
