I'm in LA for my 3rd annual Pictage Partner Conference! It's been a great time so far catching up with friends from around the nation as well as hearing some inspiring speakers. During each one hour session you have a choice between four different speakers so it can be tough but I ended up going to hear David Jay, Chris Humphreys and Lauren Hillary today.
David talked about creating a personality on the web. I've heard him speak a million times before and he's always great. He delivered once again with a great new presentation. It was fun to hear him talk a little about blogging which is what I'm speaking in depth on tomorrow.
Chris shared about different techniques to make your images amazing. It was a great overview of light, depth and perspective and Chris did a great job communicating more complex concepts in simple ways. I loved how he used his images as examples of the techniques he shared on. He's got some great stuff!
Lauren shared about how to get published. I wasn't previously familiar with her or her work and I always love hearing from fresh faces and she didn't disappoint. She shared a lot of practical advice from her own experience.
It's a lot of info to take in in one day! I'm ready to hit the hay (as evidenced by the number of times I've used the word "great" in this post) and I'm excited for my presentation tomorrow!
